Delta Buggy New York Marathon 2016

This weekend Delichon has been cheering on one of the most inspirational couples we have ever met as they travelled to America to fulfill their dream of competing in the New York marathon. Elke Jung is a full time wheelchair user and her husband Bernhard is a keen runner. They live in Germany and we first met them at Rehacare a few years ago when this was all just an "idea" for how they could turn running from his solo passion into an activity they could do together. They had special permission to use their custom Delta All-Terrain Buggy in the race on Sunday 6th November and everyone at Delichon joined in to support them in their endeavours! Following their progress online we watched Elke & Bernhard cross the finish line of their New York Marathon in an impressive time of 4:47:15! It looked like it was a wonderful day for pushing their Delta All-Terrain Buggy 26.2 miles around the Big Apple with great crowds and lots of sunshine. The team at Delichon has congratulated them both on such a great achievement and we are looking forward to hearing all about it when they get home.
