Work Begins On Site

Work is finally underway on the new Delichon Hq as the diggers have started work on the overgrown site where our new home will take shape.

Because of the potential presence of Common Lizards in the area, the initial clearance was undertaken very carefully under the watchful eye of our supervising Ecologist, Dominic Prince from Ilex Ecology. No lizards were found but we did disturb a nest of bank voles instead!

As you would expect from land that was part of the old brickworks, the soil is heavy clay and there is a huge amount of material to be removed to create a level base for the new building.
